It was an honor to come as an observer to the Arizona Asian American Association’s interview with Mr. Michael Pollack of Pollack Investments today representing the Filipino community. The interview was done by Ms. Mai Le Thanh of the Vietnamese Lifestyle Magazine, and covered by Lirong Huang and Wei Wu of AZAsianTV.com.
The hospitality and warmth of the Pollack Investment Group was felt as soon as we signed in. We were offered cold water as we waited for Mr. Pollack to finish a phone call and see us. We were invited to his great office with a movie Theater size TV screen and ornate decor.
Mr. Pollack was so gracious to welcome us and made us feel so at ease. He even allowed the chairs and anything in the way of the interview to be moved on his own suggestions. His son, Bobby, assisted to put the furniture away.
The camera was set up by AZAsianTV.com, with Mr. Wei Wu filming with the direction of Lirong Huang and Mai Le Thanh did an awesome interview.
Mr. Pollack graciously allowed us to have pictures and to record while he gave a personal tour of his private museum, consisting of the largest collection of Baranger Statues, 3D Advertising statues, antique slots machines, and many more even his unique café.
It was a feast upon our eyes and curiosity seeing those precious collectibles and hearing the stories behind some of them, as retold by Mr. Pollack himself. After the tour, he personally held the door for us as we left.
Seeing and knowing the accomplishments of this real estate guru and self-made man and collector of arts, he is also a philanthropist and an artist, as seen through his work as the drum player for his band, “Corporate Affairs”.
But for me, seeing the care and compassion displayed between Mr. Pollack and his son revealed a strong bond of father-son unity. It only showed to me the kind of parent he is to his children for them to be that supportive of his dad.
Another notable memory from our meeting with Mr. Pollack was when his employee who was to leave was asked by our team to take our picture. He did not hesitate to thank his employee immediately. He knows how to take care of people, which leaves little to doubt why he has succeeded.
He has truly lived with honesty, integrity, and humility to serve others.
Today, we did not just hear from him stories about his philanthropy and artistry, but most importantly, he has illustrated it personally.
I have more respect for this man by what I have experienced with him in addition to his accomplishments. We can all learn so much from him.
I thank the recommendation of Ms. Lirong Huang, and Mr. Albert Lin, the President of AAAA, and Ms. Keiko Conn, VP of AAAA, for bringing me to this event. I appreciate the AAAA for making me feel their family despite being new to this Organization.

He will continue to be a mentor to the real estate community passing down the lessons he has learned to younger generations while strengthening the bonds between communities and property owners working to revitalize neighborhoods making this world a better place one project at a time.

He’s usually seen at many of the major national auctions where three-dimensional advertising pieces are offered.
Michael’s appetite for collecting made it necessary to build a special facility to house his vast advertising collection consisting of more than 110 Baranger displays and over 7,000 other pieces.
